Domestic Short Hair Cat

**Panda (Declawed, Special Needs) the Cat needs a home

Panda was found on the streets of Coloma. When the news of the Polar Vortex began appearing people became concerned. It was obvious that she had recently been an inside cat but now she was running at large, fending for herself, and very cold. Soon it was discovered that Panda had been declawed. This raised much concern for her safety since her primary means of self defense was now gone and she had difficulty feeding herself. A concerned citizen called and emailed and begged Little Orphans Animal Rescue to take her in. One foster stepped up and Panda was brought to safety. At her health check-up she was tested for FIV/FeLV and found to be positive for FeLV. This is the Feline Leukemia Virus. You can read about FeLV here...

Panda can live in a home with other FeLV+ cats and is a very nice girl. She is living with other cats now and has gotten along well. Can you give a loving home to a cat that has been through some very hard times and is paying the price for being outside. You might be surprised how rewarding giving a chance to a Special Needs pet can be.

Born approximately 2/10/2011 Panda's adoption fee will help to cover Panda's veterinary care.
